DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women’s basketball team will take part in the “Play4Kay” initiative when the Blue Devils host ninth-ranked Maryland and 10th-ranked N.C. State on Monday, Feb. 17 and Thursday, Feb. 20 in Cameron Indoor Stadium next week. The game against the Terrapins will tip at 7:00 p.m., followed by a 6:30 p.m., tip against the Wolfpack.
The Blue Devils will wear white uniforms with pink trim for both contests. All fans that wear pink to the Maryland game will get in for only $4.
For the N.C. State game, the first 2,500 fans will receive a pink, Duke buff that can be used as a head band, head wrap, wrist band or rally towel. There will also be a silent auction in the Hall of Honor to benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fun. Also, it will be Triangle Day where all local fans will be able to get in for $4.
The “Play 4Kay” initiative is an opportunity for a nation of coaches to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The official charity is the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in partnership with The V Foundation and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
The Kay Yow Cancer Fun will have a table set up in the Hall of Honor selling merchandise for both games.
