CHICAGO, Ill. – Duke University incoming freshmen Lynee’ Belton and Sierra Calhoun competed in the 2014 McDonald’s All-America game last night at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.

The Blue Devil duo competed on the East squad that dropped an 80-78 decision to the West team.

Belton, who is a product of Clinton, Md., was one of three double-digit scorers for the East team as the 6-3 forward tallied 11 points to go along with eight rebounds, one assist and one steal in 15 minutes.  She hit 5-of-6 free throws.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Calhoun appeared in 10 minutes and did not score as she missed both field goal attempts.  The 6-0 guard also had one rebound off the bench.  The day before, Calhoun competed in the POWERADE skills competition.  She finished second overall with a time of 34.20.

Duke has now featured 24 McDonald’s All-America selections sign with the Blue Devils since the first game in 2002 and will have eight honorees on the 2014-15 roster.

Along with Belton and Calhoun, Azura Stevens and Erin Mathis join the incoming class for the Blue Devils that ranked as the No. 2 overall class in the nation.
