DURHAM, N.C.— Are you on Duke women’s basketball withdrawals since the season came to a close in March?  If so here are highlights of junior Elizabeth Williams to help tie you over until October.  

A native of Virginia Beach, Va., Williams averaged 13.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.1 blocks, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals on the year.  Her 3.1 blocks per game average led the ACC and ranked 13th nationally.  A three-time ACC Defensive Player of the Year selection, Williams led Duke with seven double-doubles and posted a career-best 52.6 field goal percentage.

The 6-3 center collected over 100 blocks for the third year in a row as she swatted 108 on the year.  She has 331 blocks over her three years at Duke.  Other honors Williams received were All-ACC First Team, All-ACC Defensive Team, Naismith and John R. Wooden Award Midseason Candidate for National Player of the Year, All-ACC Tournament First Team, All-ACC Academic Team, Paradise Jam All-Tournament and a CoSIDA Academic All-District III selection.
