DURHAM, N.C. – As the 2014 WNBA season concludes its third week of the season, eight former Duke standouts seek to make their mark in the league. Alana Beard of the Los Angeles Sparks is among the top performers averaging 12.8 points per game. Lindsey Harding ranks third in the WNBA averaging 34.2 minutes per contest. While recent Duke graduate, Tricia Liston looks to gain more playing time with the Minnesota Lynx.

Mistie Bass – Duke ‘06
Phoenix Mercury, 6-3, Forward
2014 Stats: 5 games, 4.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 0.4 APG, 0.6 SPG, 0.6 BPG
Bass has appeared in all five games for the Mercury this season, averaging 4.2 points per contest and 16.2 minutes per game. She pulled down a season-high eight rebounds May 30 against the Tulsa Shock and also contributed six points to the Mercury win. Phoenix is ranked second in the Western Conference with a 4-1 record. The Mercury will face Tulsa Friday, June 6. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.

Alana Beard – Duke ‘04
LA Sparks, 6-1, Guard/Forward
2014 Stats: 4 games, 12.8 PPG, 1.8 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.5 SPG, 0.5 BPG
Beard enters her 10th season in the league and has started all four contests for the Sparks, averaging 12.8 points per game and 30.5 minutes. In the season opener against the Seattle Storm, Beard netted a season-high 17 points in the Sparks win. Beard also owns a 42.6 field-goal percentage and a 57.1 three-point percentage. She currently ranks fifth in the WNBA in three-point field-goal percentage (57.1). The Sparks are fourth in the Western Conference with a 3-4 record. Los Angeles will face the Chicago Sun on Friday, June 6. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m.

Karima Christmas – Duke ‘11
Indiana Fever, 6-0, Guard/Forward
2014 Stats: 6 games, 5.2 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 1.0 APG, 1.0 SPG, 0.2 BPG
Christmas has appeared in all six games for the Fever this season, averaging 5.2 points per game and 22.3 minutes. She recorded season-highs during a May 29 contest against the Connecticut Sun where she grabbed six rebounds and scored nine points in 24 minutes of action. Christmas is currently ranked 16th in the league with an 85.7 free-throw percentage. The Fever are ranked fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 3-3 record. Indiana will take on the Washington Mystics Thursday, June 5. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Monique Currie – Duke ‘06
Washington Mystics, 6-0, Forward
2014 Stats: 5 games, 6.0 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 0.8 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.2 BPG
Currie has started three of five games for the Mystics this season, averaging 6.0 points per game and 18.2 minutes. In their most recent victory over the Los Angeles Sparks, Currie contributed a season-high 12 points and six rebounds during 22 minutes of game action. She is starting the 2014 campaign on a high note by ranking first in the WNBA with a 1.000 free-throw percentage. Washington is ranked second in the Eastern Conference with a 3-2 record. Currie and the Mystics will take on the Connecticut Sun Thursday, June 5. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Lindsey Harding – Duke ‘07
LA Sparks, 5-8, Guard
2014 Stats: 5 games, 8.0 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 4.0 APG, 1.8 SPG, 0.0 BPG
Harding, a 2010 WNBA All-Star selection, has started all five games for the Sparks 2014 campaign, averaging 8.0 points per game and 34.2 minutes (#3 in WNBA). She netted a season-high 13 points against the Washington Mystics June 1 and had four assists. In her most recent action against Atlanta, Harding recorded a season-high nine assists during 30 minutes of play.

Tricia Liston – Duke ‘14
Minnesota Lynx, 6-0, Forward
2014 Stats: 3 games
Liston has appeared in three contests for the Lynx, averaging 1.7 minutes per game. She looks to make an impact on the number one ranked team in the Western Conference (7-0). During preseason action against Phoenix, Liston recorded eight points, pulled down six rebounds and had two steals during 23 minutes of play. Minnesota looks continue their winning ways Friday, June 6 against the Seattle Storm. Tip-off is set for 10 p.m.

Jasmine Thomas – Duke ‘11
Atlanta Dream, 5-9, Guard
2014 Stats: 7 games, 9.7 PPG, 2.6 RPG, 1.9 APG, 0.4 SPG, 0.3 BPG
Thomas has started all seven games for the Dream, averaging 9.7 points per game and 25.6 minutes. She owns an 83.3 free-throw percentage for the 2014 campaign, ranking her 20th in the WNBA. Thomas scored a season-high 17 points May 25 against Eastern Conference foe, Indiana. Atlanta is ranked third in the conference with a 4-3 mark. The Dream will face the Chicago Sky on Saturday, June 7. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Krystal Thomas – Duke ‘11
Indiana Fever, 6-5, Center
2014 Stats: 4 games, 2.5 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 0.0 APG, 0.0 SPG, 0.5 BPG
Thomas enters her first season with the Fever as she was signed May 19, averaging 2.5 points per game and 7.0 minutes per game. She has seen action in all four contests thus far in the 2014 campaign, owning a 50.0 free-throw percentage. Thomas made her Fever debut May 23 against the Mystics where she pulled down three rebounds and scored four points during 10 minutes of action.
