Became the first player in ACC history to register over 2,000 points, 800 rebounds, 400 assists and 200 steals in a career ... posted the second triple-double in school history with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists against Florida State on Jan. 5, 2006 ... became only the second Duke player to be named a two-time Kodak All-America selection (Alana Beard) ... led Duke to 30 or more wins in each of her five seasons ... missed the 2002-03 season with a torn ACL in her left knee.

Summer of 2005... 
Led the USA Women’s World University Games Team to a 7-0 record and the gold medal ... started two of seven games while averaging 6.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals ... collected 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals in a rout of Taiwan in the quarterfinals.

As a Junior (2004-05)...

Redshirted the season with a torn ACL in her left knee ... injury happened in the first minute of the first exhibition game on Nov. 5 against Premier Players.

Played on the USA Basketball Junior World Championship team ... team posted a 6-1 record and downed Australia, 77-72, to earn the bronze medal ... played in five of the seven games ... averaged 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and hit 44 percent of her field goals.

Full name is Monique Paulette Currie ... born on February 25, 1983, in Washington, D.C.  ... daughter of Michael and Gwendolyn Currie ... has one sister, Mikia (24) ... featured in Fox Student Sports Magazine and School Sports Magazine as a senior in high school ... received degrees in public policy and African-American studies in May from Duke and is pursuing a graduate degree in humanities in 2005-06.
