ACC Tournament Semifinals
Postgame Notes l March 9, 2013


With the Duke Victory…
•    Improved to 29-2 overall and advances to the ACC Tournament championship.
•    Advanced to the ACC Championship for the 11th time out of the last 14 years.
•    Coach P moved to 36-12 all-time in league tournament action and 12-3 in the ACC Tournament.
•    Posted its 31st win in the ACC Tournament since the 2000 campaign.
•    Improved to 33-7 all-time in the Greensboro Coliseum.
•    Improved to 40-28 all-time in the ACC Tournament.
•    Moved the all-time series to 35-8 against Florida State, including winners of six in a row.
•    Improved to 7-0 all-time against the Seminoles in the ACC Tournament.
•    Coach P moved to 9-1 all-time against Florida State.
•    Now owns a 13-6 record in the semifinals and won its fifth straight.
•    Improved to 7-5 all-time against No. 4 seeds.

Freshman Alexis Jones
•    Notched 12 points, seven assists and four rebounds.
•    Reached double-digit scoring for the fifth straight game and 11th time this season.
•    With her seven assists, moved into third place on Duke’s single-season freshman assist list with 115.

Junior Haley Peters
•    Notched her seventh double-double of the season and eighth of her career.
•    Totaled 17 points and 13 rebounds, while dishing two assists.
•    Hit 8-of-14 field goals.
•    Played in her 100th career game.
•    Posted 11 first half points on 5-of-8 shooting.
•    In six career games in the ACC Tournament, has scored double-digits in three of them.
•    Had double-figure scoring for the 23rd time this season and 52nd of her career.

Junior Tricia Liston
•    Set the Duke single-season record for most three-pointers, after hitting three on the day (69).  Moved past Jessica Foley (2004-05) and Abby Waner (2006-07), who each had 68.
•    Is 15 points away from reaching 1,000 career points (985).
•    Scored double-digits in three consecutive ACC Tournament games.
•    Reached double-figure scoring for the 19th time this season and 45th time in her career.

Sophomore Elizabeth Williams
•    Had 11 points, seven rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal.
•    Notched double-digit scoring for the 18th straight game against an ACC opponent.
•    Blocked a shot for the 64th straight game since arriving at Duke, which matches the ACC record (tied with LaToya Pringle of UNC).

Junior Richa Jackson
•    Made her fourth start of the season.
•    Notched seven points, four rebounds and one steal.

Other Duke Notes…
•    Improved to 21-0 this year when scoring 70 or more points.
•    Moved to 14-0 this season when having four or more players score double-digits, including in both games this tournament.
•    The six-point victory is the second win this season that has been under 10 points (UNC on March 3).
•    Held a 40-32 advantage in points in the paint.
•    Hit 9-of-10 free throws.
•    Dished 16 assists in the game.
•    Had only five steals for the second straight game.
•    Hit 46.0 percent of its field goals.
•    Outrebounded FSU, 43-32, including posting 18 offensive rebounds.  Second straight game in the tournament with a rebounding margin of over 10.
