Postgame Notes l March 26, 2013

With the Duke Victory…
•    Improved to 32-2 overall and advanced to the NCAA Tournament regional semifinal in Norfolk, Va.  Will face sixth-seeded Nebraska on Sunday, March 31.
•    Advanced to the NCAA regional for the 15th time out of the last 16 years.
•    Won its 18th straight NCAA Tournament game played in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
•    Notched its 20th straight overall home victory dating back to last season.
•    Secured its fourth undefeated home season in school history with a 16-0 record.
•    Moved to 51-19 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
•    Won its 122nd straight game at home against an unranked opponent.
•    Moved to 4-1 all-time against No. 7 seeds in the NCAA Tournament.
•    Improved to 4-0 all-time against Oklahoma State.
•    Coach P moved to 4-2 all-time versus Oklahoma State.
•    Moved to 12-4 all-time against Big 12 teams.  Coach P improved to 4-5 all-time versus Big 12 teams.
•    Coach P improved to 24-16 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and 14-5 while at Duke.

Freshman Alexis Jones
•    Snapped a seven-game streak of scoring double-digits as she finished with nine points.
•    Had seven assists and three rebounds.
•    Remains second on the Duke freshman assist list with 135.

Junior Tricia Liston
•    Tallied 13 points, five rebounds and four steals.
•    With her two three-pointers made, continued her record-breaking season with 76 three-pointers on the year.
•    Has attempted 165 three-pointers this season, which ranks as the sixth-most in Duke single-season charts.

Junior Haley Peters
•    Tallied her second straight double-double in the NCAA Tournament with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
•    The double-double is her team-high ninth of the season and 10th of her career.
•    Needs only three more points to reach 1,000 for her career (997).
•    Registered double-digit scoring for the fourth straight game, 26th time this season and 55th time in her career.

Sophomore Elizabeth Williams
•    Collected her sixth double-double of the season and 11th of her career with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
•    Needs only 11 more points to reach 1,000 for her career (989).
•    Totaled double-figure scoring in the 22nd straight game this season.
•    Blocked a shot for the 67th straight game since arriving at Duke, which continues her ACC record streak.
•    Moved into third place on Duke’s career blocks list with 213.
•    Broke a streak of 13 straight free throws made with a miss in the second half.  Went 4-of-6.

Junior Chloe Wells
•    Posted 13 points for the game, including 10 in the second half.
•    Notched double-digit scoring for the seventh time this season and only 16th time in her career.

Senior Allison Vernerey
•    Played in her 138th game at Duke to move into sole possession of fifth on Duke’s career chart.

Other Duke Notes…
•    Improved to 16-0 this season when having four or more players score double-figures, including four of the five games in the postseason.
•    Trailed, 34-21, at the half marking the largest deficit of the season at the break.  Entered the game trailing at the half only three times (1-2 record).
•    The 13-point deficit at the half was the second-largest deficit of the season (31 at UConn).
•    Largest comeback since - down 41-30 at the 16:27 mark of the second half on March 21, 2011 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.  Won 71-66
•    Has now made 185 three-pointers this season, which ranks eighth on Duke’s single-season three-pointers made list.
•    Owns 171 blocks this year to rank 10th on Duke’s single-season blocks list.
•    Outrebounded Oklahoma State, 40-35.
•    Had 10 first half turnovers, but only had three in the second half to finish with 13.
•    Notched 12 steals, which ties the most for Duke since Chelsea Gray was injured (FSU – 12).
