Coastal Carolina Series History
Duke will take on the Chanticleers for the first time in program history Thursday.

Scouting the Chanticleers
Coastal Carolina enters Thursday’s match with a 6-3 ledger … The team is in the midst of a three-match win streak that includes victories over East Carolina (4-1), Appalachian State (4-2) and Richmond (4-0) … Philippe Tsangaridis leads the Chanticleers from the No. 1 position, where he has tallied a 5-3 mark in dual match play … Tsangaridis was ranked No. 67 in Tuesday’s ITA national singles poll … Tsangaridis also pairs with Leo Christofides at the No. 1 doubles spot, where the tandem owns a record of 4-3.

Scouting the Blue Devils
Duke has been on a layoff since recording a 7-0 sweep of Michigan in its last outing Feb. 9 … The Blue Devils were slated to travel to Houston, Texas in mid-February for the 2014 ITA National Team Indoor Championship, but were unable to make the trip due to severe winter weather that interrupted travel plans … Sophomore Michael Redlicki leads the squad from the No. 1 position in singles, where he has posted a 2-1 mark … Senior Fred Saba is 4-2 from the No. 2 spot while junior Jason Tahir has gone 4-0 since moving to the No. 3 position in the lineup … In doubles, Redlicki and Tahir own a 2-2 ledger on court one and the tandem of junior Raphael Hemmeler and sophomore Bruno Semenzato is 3-2 at the No. 2 spot.

Duke in the ITA Rankings
The ITA released its latest national team and singles and doubles rankings Feb. 25, with four Duke players appearing among the top-125 on the singles list … Sophomore Michael Redlicki continues to lead the way, coming in at No. 37, followed closely by junior Jason Tahir at No. 40, senior Fred Saba at No. 58 and sophomore Bruno Semenzato at No. 94 … Redlicki and Tahir also form the nation's 33rd-ranked doubles pair ... As a team, the Blue Devils are ranked 17th in the poll.

Win Streaks in Singles
Junior Jason Tahir has won five-straight contests in singles heading into the matchup with Coastal Carolina … He collected two wins from the No. 3 position against No. 14 Tennessee and No. 31 Michigan to bring his season ledger to 11-4 … Freshman TJ Pura has won six consecutive matches dating back to the fall after posting his first win in dual match play against Illinois … The Pacific Palisades, Calif., native clinched that victory over the Fighting Illini and is now 13-5 overall and 2-0 on the spring … As a team, Duke is 30-14 so far this season in dual match singles contests.

Smith’s Take
“Indoors was an unfortunate situation, kind of a bizarre deal where we just couldn’t get there,” said head coach Ramsey Smith. “Our guys were disappointed but it’s given us some extra time to train. We did schedule this extra match because of that, and we’re just excited to play a dual match. It’s been a longer break than we anticipated, but it has given us some time to work and improve upon a couple things.”
