2014: Posted the lowest ERA among Duke’s freshmen pitchers, finishing the season with a 1.98 mark over 13.2 innings … Appeared in 14 games, starting one … Made his collegiate debut Feb. 16 against Binghamton, recording two outs in the ninth … Started his first collegiate game March 12 versus Furman … Allowed six runs, two earned, over 2.2 innings to suffer the loss against the Paladins … Made his ACC debut Apr. 4 at Georgia Tech, tossing a scoreless inning in relief … Did not permit a run over his final 10 outings … Allowed just four hits while striking out seven batters during that span … Did not yield a run in five ACC appearances on the year.
