DURHAM, N.C. – Duke baseball senior Jeff Kremer has signed a contract with the Rockford Aviators of the Frontier League, becoming the Blue Devils’ 13th active player in professional baseball.
This past season, Kremer transitioned to the outfield and started all 55 games in right field. He led the Blue Devils in runs scored (42) and ranked second on the squad in both batting average (.311) and on-base percentage (.421). A native of Portland, Ore., he drew a team-high 31 walks and drove in a career-best 26 RBI during his senior campaign.
Kremer appeared in 170 games, starting 160, during his four years in a Duke uniform. His .314 career batting average ranks tied for 24th in the school record books, while his career .426 on-base percentage is seventh all-time at Duke.
