DURHAM, N.C. - The Blue Devil Network's Chris Edwards took time this week to sit down with Duke senior RHP Drew Van Orden. Listern here to learn more about the Manhattan Beach, Calif., native.

The 6-4 right-hander started 12 games on the mound during his junior campaign. Van Orden went 3-5 with a 5.94 ERA, striking out 56 batters last season.

Van Orden posted dominant numbers this summer in the California Collegiate League, registering a 5-2 record in nine starts with the Santa Barbara Foresters. He owned a team-best 1.29 ERA to go along with a team-high 65 strikeouts, while opposing batters hit just .188 against him.

The first game of Duke's Blue vs. Black World Series is set for Friday at 3 p.m. from Jack Coombs Field. The Blue Devils conclude their fall season with the seven-game series with final contest set for Sunday, Nov. 3.

Duke opens the spring schedule with a three-game home series versus Binghamton Feb. 14-16, 2014.
