Perez enjoyed a standout campaign last season, culminating in second team All-ACC honors. The Roswell, Ga., native was the first Duke second baseman to earn all-league accolades since Quinton McCracken in 1992. For his career, Perez has posted a .279 batting average with 19 doubles, five triples, four home runs and 48 RBI.
Duke travels to Davidson Tuesday for a non-conference game against the Wildcats before hosting North Carolina Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Jack Coombs Field.
