• Duke ranks third in the league in team earned run average in ACC games, posting a 2.98 ERA over its first 15 conference contests ... Duke, Florida State and Virginia are the only three conference teams with an ERA under 3.00 in league action.
• Duke is 15-1 when leading after six innings.
• With sweeps over Notre Dame and North Carolina, the Blue Devils have swept two ACC series in the same season for the first time since 1994.
• Senior Jordan Betts leads all active ACC players with 61 career doubles ... Betts is one of three Duke players to belt 60 or more doubles in a career, joining Vaughn Schill (60) and Jeff Becker (74) ... He currently ranks second in the ACC with 12 doubles in 2014.

• Senior Robert Huber is one of two ACC pitchers, along with Miami’s Bryan Radziewski, with two career shutouts ... Huber has moved into the closer role this season, and currently ranks sixth in the ACC with five saves ... Huber is one of four pitchers in Duke history to total five or more saves as well as 15 or more wins in a career, joining David Darwin, Ryan Jackson and Marcus Stroman.
• Senior Mark Lumpa leads the team in both walks (28) and on base percentage (.445), marks which rank fifth and sixth in the ACC, respectively ... The Saudi Arabia native has reached base in 21 consecutive contests, hitting .294 (20-for-68) with 23 walks during that span.
•  Redshirt junior Chris Marconcini leads the ACC in home runs (7) ... He also leads the team and ranks third in the league in RBI (30) ... Marconcini has driven in 30 or more runs in each of his three seasons at Duke ... The Brentwood, Tenn., native also has a team-best eight games with multiple RBI, including four games with three or more ...  In addition, Marconcini is one of two ACC players, joining Miami’s Dale Carey, to total six or more home runs as well as six or more stolen bases.
• Senior catcher Mike Rosenfeld ranks second in the ACC, throwing out 11 runners on stolen base attempts ... Rosenfeld is the only league catcher with 11 or fewer stolen bases against to also throw out 10 or more runners.
• Sophomore left-hander Nick Hendrix, senior Robert Huber and redshirt sophomore Conner Stevens have all appeared in 15 or more games out of the bullpen this season ... Hendrix has appeared in the most games of any Duke pitcher (17) and ranks seventh in the ACC in appearances ... The trio has combined for a 2.05 ERA and 57 strikeouts over 66.0 innings of work.
Last Time Out
• Duke scored eight runs over the first three innings and never looked back en route to a 9-1 victory over crosstown foe N.C. Central Tuesday, April 8 at Jack Coombs Field ... The Blue Devils used nine pitchers in the contest with junior Sarkis Ohanian ultimately earning the victory ... Ohanian tossed 2.1 hitless innings, striking out five of the seven batters he faced including four straight to end his outing ... In total the Blue Devil staff turned in a dominant performance, scattering six hits while walking one batter and striking out 14 ... Junior Andy Perez reached base in three of his four plate appearances, scored two runs and notched an RBI to pace a Duke offense which totaled 10 hits. Redshirt junior Chris Marconcini went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, bringing his season total to a team-leading 30 runs driven in.
NC State Series History
• Friday’s game marks the 276th meeting in program history between Duke and NC State ... The Wolfpack leads the all-time series, 151-124-1, including a 59-55 record against the Blue Devils in Durham ... The series dates back to April 10, 1897, a 7-3 Duke victory ... Last season, the Wolfpack swept the Blue Devils in a three-game series at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park ... NC State has won six straight meetings against Duke.

•  Duke enters the weekend with a 7-8 mark in conference action ... The Blue Devils are tied with North Carolina for fifth place in the ACC Coastal Division standings ... Duke has played errorless baseball in 16 of its 34 games, including a streak of six straight heading into the weekend ... Duke is the only team in the conference to commit fewer than 30 errors while totaling over 1,300 fielding chances ... The other three squads with 1,300 or more chances all have 40 or more errors: Georgia Tech (1,385 chances, 44 errors), Miami (1,378 chances, 47 errors) and Wake Forest (1,448 chances, 53 errors).
Run Game Success
• The Blue Devils have done well controlling the run game while also taking advantage of their stolen base opportunities ... Duke is the only ACC team to swipe 35 or more bases while also limiting the opposition to 15 or fewer stolen bases ...
