BOSTON -- Former Duke baseball standout Marcus Stroman was so good against the Boston Red Sox last week he utilized the same plan Tuesday to lead the Toronto Blue Jays to a 4-2 victory at Fenway Park.
Stroman (7-2) held Boston to one run and six hits over seven innings of work, adding eight strikeouts and two walks in his second solid start against the Red Sox in the past five days.
"He's on some kind of roll right now," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "The kid's good. He believes in himself. He's got all the confidence in the world and he's got the stuff for it, too."
