Leading Off
•    Duke (14-24, 6-12 ACC) hosts No. 25 Virginia (24-13-1, 9-9 ACC) this weekend in a three-game series at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
•    Schedule Update: Due to expected inclement weather on Sunday, Duke and Virginia will play games two and three of the series as a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 12 noon. There will be no game on Sunday.
•    Duke is 6-15 in home games this season.
•    Duke is 53-93-1 all-time against Virginia. The Blue Devils dropped all three games to the Cavaliers in 2011.
•    Duke is coming off a 0-1 week after dropping an 8-4 decision to Davidson on Tuesday.
•    Junior RHP Marcus Stroman leads all NCAA pitchers in strikeouts (93) and ranks third in strikeouts per nine innings (12.68).
•    Duke’s starting weekend rotation of Marcus Stroman, Trent Swart and Robert Huber owns a combined ERA of 3.02 in 27 starts. Those three have amassed 171 strikeouts (9.40 K/9) and a 2.48:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 163.2 innings.

•    Marcus Stroman’s 247 career strikeouts rank ninth on the all-time strikeouts list at Duke.
•    Marcus Stroman ranks first in the ACC in innings pitched (66.0), fifth in ERA (2.05) and sixth in opponent batting average (.212).
•    Marcus Stroman’s career 3.30 ERA is the second-lowest in Duke history in the aluminum bat era (since 1974) and sixth all-time.
•    Duke’s starting weekend rotation of Marcus Stroman, Trent Swart and Robert Huber owns a combined ERA of 3.02 in 27 starts. Those three have amassed 171 strikeouts (9.40 K/9) and a 2.48:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 163.2 innings.
•    Stroman, Swart and Huber have pitched at least five innings in 21 of their 27 starts.
•    Sophomore RHP Robert Huber ranks 21st in the ACC with a 3.35 ERA.
•    Robert Huber threw his first career complete game in a 5-3 win over Maryland on April 15. Huber is one of six ACC hurlers to have pitched a complete game this season and only the fourth to do so in a league game.
•    In ACC play, Marcus Stroman has a 1.91 ERA, 10th-best in the league.
•    Senior David Putman ranks fifth in the ACC with four saves.
•    Freshman Andrew Istler ranks tied for sixth in the ACC with three saves.
•    David Putman and Andrew Istler both have two saves in ACC games.
•    Duke’s .969 fielding percentage is tied for fourth-best in the ACC.
•    Duke senior CF Will Piwnica-Worms is the team’s active leader in 10 categories: hits (228), at bats (758), doubles (53), triples (14), home runs (14), RBI (129), runs (136), stolen bases (42), games played (203) and games started (200).
•    Sophomore Mike Rosenfeld is hitting .393 in ACC games, which ranks as the highest in league play. Rosenfeld’s .419 on base percentage in ACC games ranks as the ninth-best.
•    Freshman Andy Perez is batting .349 in ACC games, seventh-highest in the league.
•    Mike Rosenfeld and Andy Perez both have 22 hits in conference play, which ranks tied for fifth in the ACC.
•    Jordan Betts ranks tied for fourth in the ACC with 14 doubles. His eight doubles in league play rank as the highest in the ACC.
•    Duke ranks tied for 10th nationally in triples with 13. Seven different Blue Devils have tripled this season.
•    Duke has four players hitting .300 or better with two outs on the board: Mike Rosenfeld (.406), Will Piwnica-Worms (.400), Jeff Kremer (.316) and Andrew Istler (.303).
•    Duke has driven in 65 runs with two outs. Will Piwnica-Worms has 11 two-out RBI, while Angelo La Bruna, Grant McCabe and Mike Rosenfeld have eight apiece.
•    Duke’s freshman and sophomore position players have combined to start 263 games, equal to 77 percent of the team’s total starts. Senior Will Piwnica-Worms (33 starts) and juniors Jeff Kremer (35 starts) and Ryan Munger (8 starts) are the only upperclassmen to have started a game.
•    Sophomore Jordan Betts has started 94-of-94 games in his career.
•    Jordan Betts has doubled in four straight games. He has six doubles in his last six games. 
•    12 different Blue Devils have stolen a base through the first 38 games. Duke is 40-for-58 in stolen base attempts this season after going 84-for-109 last season.
•    Duke has nine home runs through its first 38 games. The Blue Devils had 10 homers all last season.
