Davidson opened the game with an early 1-0 lead, but Duke scored at least one run in four of the five opening frames to secure an advantage it would not relinquish the rest of the way. Georgia Tech (22-7, 8-4 ACC) took two-of –three from Wake Forest in its last ACC series before splitting a pair of midweek games prior to this weekend. The Yellow Jackets fell at Mercer, 10-1, Tuesday and rebounded with a 9-1 decision over Kennesaw State Wednesday.
