• Duke enters the 2014 ACC Baseball Championship with a 32-23 overall record and 16-14 mark in conference action ... The Blue Devils are set to face Pool A opponents Clemson Wednesday at 11 a.m., the winner of Georgia Tech and Wake Forest Thursday at 3 p.m., and Miami Saturday at 11 a.m. ... The Blue Devils clinched the No. 4 seed in the tournament with a 7-5 victory over Florida State in the regular season finale.

Duke in the ACC
• Picked to finish fifth in the Coastal Division in the ACC Coaches Preseason Poll, the Blue Devils finished third in the division and fourth overall, posting a 16-14 conference record ... Duke finished in the top four in the league standings for the first time since finishing second in 1994 ... Duke’s 16 ACC wins ties the program record, also set in 1994 ... Duke swept four ACC series in the same season for the first time since 1994 as well ... In comparison, Duke totaled four ACC sweeps from 1995-2012 ... A member of the conference since 1954, the Blue Devils are 367-760-4 all-time in ACC contests ... Duke holds a 681-1,031-8 all-time record against teams currently in the ACC: Boston College (11-15), Clemson (66-126-2), Florida State (19-76), Georgia Tech (32-87), Maryland (85-83), Miami (9-27), NC State (126-152-1), North Carolina (96-182-3), Notre Dame (8-4), Pitt (4-4), Virginia (55-100-1), Virginia Tech (32-24) and Wake Forest (32-24).

2014 ACC Championship
• Duke heads to the 41st annual ACC Baseball Championship as the No. 4 seed for the first time in program history ... The Blue Devils are making their 33rd overall appearance in the conference tournament and first since 2009 ... No current Blue Devil has played in the ACC Tournament prior to this season ... In search of their first ACC Tournament title, the Blue Devils are 21-55 all-time in tournament play ... Against Pool A opponents, Duke is 8-22 in tournament play: Clemson (4-8), Georgia Tech (2-8), Miami (0-0) and Wake Forest (2-6).

Blue Devil Trio Named All-ACC
• Three Blue Devils garnered All-ACC honors as announced by the league Monday ... Senior Jordan Betts and redshirt junior Chris Marconcini earned second team honors while redshirt junior Aaron Cohn collected a third team nod ... The honor is the second for Betts, and the first career all-league accolades for both Cohn and Marconcini ... Duke’s three All-ACC selections are the most since the Blue Devils placed three on all-league teams in 2009.

Duke Reaches 30 Wins
• Duke won its 30th game of the season May 5 against Longwood ... The Blue Devils reached the 30-win plateau for the first time since 2009 ... Duke has won 30 games or more in a season 10 times in program history: 2013, 2009, 2008, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993 and 1992.

Pitching Prowess
• Duke finished the regular season with a 3.15 team ERA and is one of six ACC teams with an ERA under 3.20 ... The Blue Devils’ current ERA is their lowest since finishing the 1971 season with a 2.71 mark ... Duke had not posted a team ERA under 4.00 since 1993 ... The Blue Devils rank second in the league in both strikeouts (480) and strikeouts per game (8.70) ... Duke’s total of 480 strikeouts eclipsed the team’s previous single-season record of 440 set in 2012 ... 2014 also marks the ninth time in program history Duke has totaled 400 or more strikeouts ... In addition, Duke is the only team to have two different pitchers named ACC Pitcher of the Week (Michael Matuella and Drew Van Orden).

Bullpen Success
• The Blue Devils are 27-1 when leading after six innings and 27-0 when leading after seven this season thanks to a consistent effort from the bullpen ... Closer Robert Huber leads the team and ranks third in the league with 10 saves ... Left-hander Nick Hendrix and right-hander Conner Stevens have seen the most time out of the bullpen, totaling 36.0 and 35.0 innings of work, respectively ... Hendrix also ranks 13th in the league with 26 appearances in 2014.

No Free Passes
• Duke has made the opposition earn its offense this season, walking 181 batters while hitting just 25 ... The Blue Devils’ 3.28 walks allowed per game is good for fourth in the conference ... 2014 marks the first season Duke has walked fewer than 200 batters since 2008 ... In addition, the Blue Devils’ 25 hit batters is the lowest total in the league ... Duke is the only ACC team to hit under 30 batters this season.

Power Numbers
• The Blue Devils are the only ACC team to total 15 or more triples as well as 25 or more home runs this season ... Duke leads the ACC in triples (19) and ranks fourth in home runs (28) ... Duke’s 28 home runs this season are the most since the Blue Devils belted 40 in 2009 ... 2014 also marks the fourth straight season Duke has amassed 15 or more triples.

Devilish Defense
• Duke relies heavily on its defense and ranks third in the ACC with a .974 fielding percentage ... The Blue Devils are one of three ACC teams with 55 or fewer errors on the season ... Duke is the only league team to average over 8.50 strikeouts per game while also fielding .974 or better ... The Blue Devils have earned the reputation as a strong defensive team, posting a fielding percentage of .970 or better in seven of the past eight seasons.

Upperclassmen Leadership
• A veteran team, Duke’s upperclassman have been instrumental to the Blue Devils’ success ... The Blue Devils’ starting lineup usually includes eight upperclassmen with sophomore shortstop Kenny Koplove as the lone underclassman representative ... Duke’s upperclassmen account for 92 percent of the team’s total hits (445-of-486), 93 percent of Duke’s doubles (81-of-87), 100 percent of the team’s home runs and 91 percent of the Blue Devils’ RBI (230-of-254).

Double Trouble
• Duke is the only team to have two players rank in the top six in the ACC in doubles this season ... Senior Jordan Betts ranks second with 19 doubles, while redshirt junior Aaron Cohn ranks sixth with 17 ... In addition, Betts leads all active ACC players with 68 career doubles ... That mark also ranks second nationally among active Division I players ... Betts is one of two Duke players to total 65 or more doubles in a career, joining fellow third baseman and two-time All-ACC honoree Jeff Becker (74) in that distinction .

Betts Having Career Year
• Senior All-ACC selection Jordan Betts has anchored the Duke lineup this year, turning in career numbers in batting average (.317), slugging percentage (.508) and on base percentage (.404) ... He ranks 14th in the ACC in batting average and fifth in slugging percentage ... Betts leads the team with 18 multi-hit games, including six with three or more ... In comparison, Betts totaled eight three-hit games over his first three seasons before accumulating six his senior campaign.

Closing Time
• After starting Sundays a season ago, senior RHP Robert Huber has excelled as the team’s closer in 2014 ... Huber currently ranks third in the ACC with 10 saves ... He is one of just three Blue Devils to record 10 or more saves in a single season ... Huber’s 11 career saves rank fifth in program history ... The Plano, Texas, native is one of four Duke pitchers to total 10 or more saves as well as 15 or more wins in a career.

Jack of All Trades
• The Blue Devils utilize junior right-hander Andrew Istler in a variety of situations ... Istler has started 10 games this season, including five in ACC play, while taking the mound for 11 relief appearances ... No matter what the role, Istler has thrived this season, posting a career-best 2.55 ERA ... He ranks 18th in the league in ERA (2.55), and third in wins (8) ... Istler also boasts a strong pickoff move and is tops in the ACC with seven runners picked off this season.

Patience is a Virtue
• After beginning his career as a pitcher, senior Mark Lumpa transitioned to the outfield his final two years and has excelled as Duke’s leadoff hitter this season ... One of the nation’s more patient hitters, he ranks second in the conference in walks (49), fourth in on base percentage (.451) and fourth in runs scored (46) ... His 49 walks also ranks third nationally ... Lumpa is the fourth player in Duke history to draw 45 or more walks in a single season and the first since Larry Broadway coaxed 50 in 2002 ... He has recorded at least one walk in 33 games and drawn multiple free passes in 15 contests ... Lumpa has failed to reach base in just seven games this season.

Marconcini Provides Power
• The only Blue Devil to play in all 55 games this season, redshirt junior and second team All-ACC choice Chris Marconcini leads the team in both home runs (8) and RBI (45) ... Duke’s top power hitter, he’s belted eight home runs in each of the past two seasons ... He is one of 16 Blue Devils to total 20 or more home runs in a career ... Marconcini also ranks sixth in the league with a career-best 45 RBI ... He has driven in multiple runs in a team-best 13 games ... Marconcini has amassed 35 or more RBI in each of his three active seasons at Duke ... With 122 career RBI, he is the 25th player in Duke history to surpass 120 career RBI.

Perez Heats Up
• An All-ACC pick a season ago, junior second baseman Andy Perez got off to a slow start but has been Duke’s top hitter down the stretch ... After hitting .081 over Duke’s first 15 games, Perez boasts a team-best .321 average over the past 40 games ... In 26 games since April 1, he has had at least one hit in all but five contests, including a team-best 13-game hitting streak from April 19 to May 13 ... Perez raised his average from .214 to .274 during that span.
