DURHAM, N.C. – A two-time All-ACC honoree, Jordan Betts completed a standout career with careers bests in batting average, slugging percentage and on base percentage in 2014. He finished his career with 69 doubles, the second-highest total in Duke history, and was a mainstay at third base throughout his career. He graduated this past spring with a degree in history and a minor in political science.

GoDuke.com caught up with the Wilmington, N.C., native.

GoDuke.com: What are your three favorite things about being a Duke student-athlete?
Betts: Let’s go with the cliché getting to compete in the ACC and getting to compete in the classroom against the best students in the world. And Coach P in the weight room does a really great job.

GoDuke.com: What is your favorite on-field memory?
JB: Would have to be the Sunday versus NC State this year … hitting two home runs then Aaron Cohn with the walkoff hit and dog-piling on the field and then shaving our heads for the Vs. Cancer Foundation.

GoDuke.com: What is your favorite off-field memory?
JB: Just going to go out of left field here … seeing the Chinese National Orchestra perform on campus.

GoDuke.com:
JB: Steak, mac and cheese, and Jason’s Deli turkey sandwiches.

GoDuke.com:
JB: Australia, Josh Jordan’s house and I’d love to go to the Bahamas.

GoDuke.com
JB: Dame’s Chicken and Waffles, The Pit and Jimmy John’s.
