DURHAM, N.C. -- The Duke baseball game, originally scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m., against Maryland-Eastern Shore has been postponed until Wednesday, March 18, due to poor field conditions.

Duke (10-6, 3-3 ACC) and Maryland-Eastern Shore (2-15, 0-0 MEAC) will now play two nine-inning games on Wednesday, beginning at 3 p.m. at Jack Coombs Field. Duke freshman Eric Pfisterer (1-0, 3.52 ERA) will make his first career start in game one opposite UMES right-hander Karim Gonzalez (0-3, 9.82 ERA). Game two will feature Duke right-hander Jonathan Foreman (0-1, 6.94 ERA) against UMES righty Russe Deutschmann (0-2, 6.23 ERA).

Following the two-game set against the Hawks, Duke will head down the road to face No. 1 North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. That series begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 20, and will continue with games on Saturday and Sunday.
