- Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll
- Made 10 starts and 12 total appearances, including four weekend starts against ACC opponents
- Led all Duke starters with a 2.87 ERA, yielding just 17 earned runs over 53.1 innings
- Also led Blue Devil starting pitchers in opponent batting average with a .215 clip
- Went 2-1, but led Duke to a 8-1-1 record when he started on the mound
- Struck out 31 batters while walking 26 and giving up 43 hits on the season
- Promoted to the weekend rotation and started the Sunday game in the last four ACC series of the season
- Had a 3.79 ERA against ACC opponents, going 0-1 while holding opponents to a .213 average
- Went five or more innings in six of his 10 starts
- Also picked up his first career save with four scoreless innings out of the bullpen against Iona (2/24)
- Held opposing teams to two earned runs or less in seven starts, including three scoreless outings of five innings or more
- Surrendered only two home runs for the fewest on Duke's starting pitching staff

- Managed to hold Clemson to one unearned run over six innings in his first ACC start of the season, but came away with a no-decision (4/20)
- Followed with seven scoreless innings in his next start against Maryland, holding the Terps to three hits and one walk (4/27)
- Gave up just one earned run over a span of 24 innings from March 26 to April 27, holding a 0.38 ERA during his five appearances during the run
- Pitched for the Kamuela Paniolos in the Hawaii Collegiate Baseball League during the summer
- Went 3-3 with a 6.07 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 29.2 innings
2007
- Started seven games at third base and three at second base
- Made 10 total pitching appearances, including two starts and eight outings from the bullpen
- Put together a 1-1 record and an 8.47 ERA
- Tossed 17 total innings, allowing 25 hits and 16 earned runs
- Struck out 11 batters and walked 10
- Had three scoreless outings and four appearances without surrendering an earned run
- Knocked five hits on the season, including three doubles
- Drove in four runs while scoring twice
- Played for the Asheboro Copperheads of the Coastal Plain League during summer ball and put together a 3.48 ERA through 54.1 innings of work with 36 strikeouts and one complete game.

- Earned all-district honors during his junior and senior seasons
- Also earned academic all-state honors
- Hit .390 as a senior, .380 as a junior and .330 as a sophomore
- Also lettered in soccer where he collected all-state and all-district honors during his junior and senior campaigns
