DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke baseball team will head to Clemson, S.C., this weekend to face the sixth-ranked Tigers at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Friday’s game is scheduled for 7:15 p.m., Saturday’s game is at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s series finale will start at 1 p.m. The Blue Devils enter the series 17-4 overall and 0-3 in the ACC while the Tigers are 11-4 and 0-0, respectively.
Last Time Out
Duke won a pair of midweek non-conference games this week, defeating Fairleigh Dickinson, 15-4, on Tuesday and 10-5 on Wednesday. The Blue Devils scored 13 runs on 13 hits in the first three innings on their way to a 15-4 rout of the Knights on Tuesday. On Wednesday, third baseman Brett Bartles hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning and right fielder Alexander Hassan hit a pair of home runs, including a three-run shot in the bottom of the eighth, to lift Duke to a 10-5 come-from-behind victory over Fairleigh Dickinson.

The sixth-ranked Tigers enter the series with an 11-4 mark on the season. Clemson won two of three games against Memphis last weekend before defeating Georgia Southern, 3-0, on Wednesday. The Tigers have won four of their last five games. Clemson will open ACC play against the Blue Devils this weekend.
Duke-Clemson Series History
Clemson holds a 111-60-1 overall record against Duke in series history. The Tigers swept the Blue Devils last season at Jack Coombs Field, winning both games of a double-header on May 8 and the series finale on May 9. Clemson claimed a 14-8 victory in the first-ever meeting between the two schools on May 7, 1904.
A Look Ahead
Duke will return to Jack Coombs Field next weekend to host Georgia Tech (9-9, 1-2 ACC). The Blue Devils will then travel to Campbell for a March 27 contest before returning home to host No. 2 Florida State (20-0, 0-0 ACC) March 30-April 1.
