DURHAM, N.C.-Following the 9-8 victory over No. 4 Loyola, Duke University juniors Jordan Wolf and Chris Hipps have been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Wolf shares the honor with North Carolina's Joey Sankey.

This is Hipps' first weekly honor from the ACC, while Wolf picks up his fifth career Offensive Player of the Week award.

Wolf led all Blue Devil scorers with two goals and two assists in the upset victory over reigning NCAA champion Loyola. The native of Wynnewood, Pa., netted what proved to be the game-winner with 3:45 to play in the fourth quarter, while his assists tied the game at 4-4 and 5-5 after Duke had fallen behind by a goal both times. Wolf currently leads all Duke scorers with 27 points from 17 goals and 10 assists. His 27 points are the most in the ACC and rank fourth in points per game, while his 2.43 goals are second in the league.

Hipps anchored Duke's defense to the win, corralling five ground balls and two caused turnovers. The eight goals allowed were the second-fewest goals a Duke opponent had scored this season. Loyola entered the game averaging 12.4 goals per game, while top scorer Justin Ward was averaging 4.8 points per game and only managed three overall points. Hipps leads all Blue Devil close defensemen with 15 ground balls and five caused turnovers this season.

The Blue Devils, ranked 17th in the latest USILA Coaches poll, travel to take on No. 6 North Carolina Wednesday night. Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m., on ESPNU.
