DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke men’s lacrosse team landed four players on the 2014 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Team announced by the ACC office Wednesday afternoon. Deemer Class, Myles Jones, Brendan Fowler and Jordan Wolf all received recognition from the league’s six coaches for their play.

Maryland led all teams with five selections, while both Duke and North Carolina each had four players represented on the 19-person team. Fowler and Wolf both earned repeat honors for the Blue Devils with Wolf garnering All-ACC accolades for the fourth straight season. Class and Jones are two of four sophomores picked, joining Matt Kavanagh of Notre Dame and Brandon Mullins of Syracuse.

Class, a midfielder, is having a breakout sophomore season for the Blue Devils. The Baltimore, Md., native ranks second on the team in scoring with 27 goals and 25 assists for 52 points. He currently ranks 22nd nationally in points per game and is fourth among all midfielders. Class has at least one point in 13 of 14 games this season and has 10 games with three-plus points. He had his breakthrough performance against Syracuse, scoring six goals and adding four assists for 10 points. Over the course of Duke’s eight-game Class has 39 points from 20 goals and 19 assists.

Jones, also garnering his first All-ACC award, is having an outstanding sophomore campaign as a part of Duke’s talented first midfield line. A physical presence for the Blue Devils, he has 37 points from 25 goals and 12 assists this season. He has started all 14 games this season and has a goal in all but two games. The Huntington, N.Y., native has three hat tricks and most recently dished out a career-high five assists in the win over Rutgers. Over the past five games Jones has 24 points, including six against both Syracuse and Virginia.

The 2013 ACC Defensive Player of the Year, Fowler has led the Blue Devils in the faceoff game with a .611 win percentage. He has taken all but 32 draws for Duke, winning 206-of-339 restarts to rank 12th nationally. Fowler has won at least 50 percent of his faceoffs in 12 of 14 games and picked up 10-plus ground balls in six of those games. Against Syracuse, the Wantagh, N.Y., native won 24-of-31 faceoffs and corralled 18 ground balls to lead the Blue Devils to a 21-7 victory. The NCAA record holder for faceoff victories in a season, Fowler ranks tied for sixth all-time in NCAA history with 722 faceoff victories and is second among active players in ground balls with 414.

One of the top scorers in Duke lacrosse history, Wolf becomes the first Blue Devil to earn four All-ACC honors. The Wynnewood, Pa., native leads all scorers in the ACC with 46 goals and 67 points overall. He is riding a 55-game scoring streak and a 16-game goal streak and leads all active players in career goals (166) and points (268). With 21 assists this season Wolf became the fourth Blue Devil and 14th player in the ACC to register at least 100 career goals and 100 career assists. A four-time ACC Offensive Player of the Week honoree, the senior captain has eight hat tricks and has registered at least three points in 12 of his 14 outings and has three eight-point efforts in 2014.

No. 2 Duke (12-2) will play No. 4 Syracuse in the ACC Tournament Friday, April 25. Faceoff is set for 5 p.m., at PPL Park in Chester, Pa. The winner advances to the ACC Championship game April 27 at 1 p.m. All three contests will be televised by ESPNU.
