BALTIMORE, Md. – Thursday morning started off with the final practice in Durham for 10 Blue Devils as the Duke men’s lacrosse team continued its preparation for the NCAA semifinals set for Saturday afternoon. Duke, making its eighth straight appearance at Championship Weekend, will face off against Denver at 1 p.m., on ESPN2.
After arriving at M&T Bank Stadium off of a quick flight from RDU, the Blue Devils met with the media and enjoyed dinner in the club level of the stadium. The evening finished off with a former Army Ranger of the 75th Regiment speaking to the teams about finishing the mission they set out on from the beginning of the year.
Highlighting Thursday was the announcement of the USILA All-American. Duke led the way with a program-record 10 selections, including first team selections Jordan Wolf and Deemer Class. Myles Jones grabbed second team and Luke Duprey, Chris Hipps and Brendan Fowler were named to the third team. Josh Dionne, Will Haus and Christian Walsh rounded out the Blue Devil choices on the honorable mention list.
Duke will hold its final practice in advance of Saturday’s semifinal Friday afternoon at M&T Bank Stadium.
