This is the second varsity season for the Dolphins and the two squads are meeting for the second time overall ... • Be the program's 466th all-time victory
  • Be John Danowski's 297th career victory and 78th at Duke
  • Be Duke's 100th win since 2005
  • Make Duke 2-0 against Jacksonville all-time
  • Push Duke's record to 2-1 in true road games

Duke/Jacksonville Series History

Duke and Jacksonville are meeting for the second time since the Dolphins officially became a Division I program in 2010 ... The Blue Devils won the inaugural meeting 16-7 in Durham.

Danowski Headlines Duke's All-ACC Selections

Duke head coach John Danowski was named the 2011 ACC Coach of the Year after guiding the Blue Devils to the ACC title and a 3-0 record in league play ... This is the second time Danowski has been honored as the top coach in the ACC by his peers ... Junior CJ Costabile and freshman Jordan Wolf were named to the All-ACC squad ... The honor is the first for both Blue Devils and Wolf was one of three freshmen chosen.

Maryland senior Grant Catalino scored three goals and sophomore Curtis Holmes won 18-of-24 faceoffs to lead the seventh-ranked Terps to the 2011 ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship with an 11-9 win over top-seeded Duke. Maryland, the No. 3 seed, outscored the sixth-ranked Blue Devils 5-3 in the second half to win the ACC title ... Duke sophomore David Lawson and senior Zach Howell both had three goals apiece  ... Sophomore goaltender Dan Wigrizer made 11 saves ... The loss was the first home loss since March 20, 2010 for the Blue Devils.

Scouting Jacksonville

Jacksonville closes out its regular season schedule this weekend, hosting No. 7 Duke at D.B. Milne Field ... The Dolphins are 5-8 overall and are coming off of a 13-12 win over VMI on April 24 ... Cameron Mann leads the attack with 34 points from 17 goals and 17 assists ... Max Gurowski has 25 points with a team-high 19 assists, while Bobby Stockton and TJ Kenary both have a team-best 18 goals ... William Vogt handles faceoff duties, winning 114-of-219 faceoffs (.521) and has a team-high 51 ground balls ... Déja Vu

At this time last season, the Blue Devils had lost to Virginia in the ACC Tournament Semifinals, marking the first year under head coach John Danowski Duke had not won the ACC title ... Fast forward to this season, the Blue Devils advanced one game farther in the ACC Tournament, but again was not able to capture the crown ... The similarity between the two seasons at the same point is uncanny.
