DURHAM, N.C. – Eleven members of the Duke fencing program received undergraduate degrees from the university Sunday.

Men’s fencers receiving their diplomas were Nick Carothers (mechanical engineering), Brian Cucinelli (economics), Timothy Evans (economics), Dylan Nollner (psychology), Alessio Santoro (mathematics, computer science) and Chris Sullivan (political science).

Women’s fencers receiving diplomas were Shariza Baranyanka (political science, Asian & Middle Eastern studies), Kodia Baye-Cigna (psychology), Jessica Kang (earth & ocean studies), Anisha Mukherjee (biomedical engineering) and Mary Tung (history).

The Duke fencing team netted its fourth top-10 NCAA finish in the past five seasons in 2014, thanks in large part to Nollner and Santoro who both received All-America honors for notching top-10 individual finishes at the event. Santoro tied for third place, while Nollner took seventh.
