Two other Blue Devils were also in action Friday at the Junior World Cup, as redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Blazing and sophomore midfielder Aileen Johnson took the field with the U-21 U.S. national team in a playoff contest against Australia. Team USA responded with a goal after Australia took an early 2-0 lead, but eventually fell to the Australian squad, 4-1. Blazing, Johnson and the U.S. team will next face the loser of the match between South Africa and Spain Sunday to determine seventh and eighth place in the tournament.
