DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke field hockey team prepares for its Alumni Weekend which includes its first full length game of the spring season against conference foe North Carolina Saturday, April 13. Game time is set for 11 a.m., at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium on Duke’s east campus.
In its first three dates of competition, the Blue Devils hosted round robin tournaments comprised of multiple 30 minute games. This weekend marks the first of two full length games that Duke will contest this spring. The second will be against Old Dominion on April 20.
The competition coincides with Duke field hockey’s alumni weekend where several former Blue Devils are expected to return to campus for the weekend. Some of the festivities include honoring alumni, family and friends of the program who donated to the locker room during halftime of the scrimmage, a banquet later in the day to celebrate the 2012 season at The Washington Duke Inn and an alumni reception immediately following the banquest.
The scrimmage is free and open to the public.
