CAMDEN, N.J. - The Duke rowing team's varsity eight and varsity pair won the Grand Final at the 2010 Knecht Cup on the Cooper River on day two of the two-day event hosted by Villanova.

Duke's top boat, comprised of Justine Hong (coxswain), Emily Theys, Rory Erickson-Kulas, Alex Japhet, Laura Sciarrino, Kathy Smithwick, Kathryn Lowry, Caroline Fox and Stephanie Rosser turned in its top time of the day in the Grand Final, posting a 6:34.44 to edge Buffalo by less than five seconds.

Smithwick and Erickson-Kulas also doubled up to win the varsity pair Grand Final, finishing the race in 8:03.57 to edge Duke's second pairing of Theys and Fox which posted a 8:11.56.

Duke took three of the top four spots in the women's single Final as well.
