DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke rowing team will make its second appearance at the Knecht Cup this Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10, on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J., competing against 50 schools from across the country.
The Blue Devils saw great success in their first appearance at the regatta last season, capturing gold in the open quad, as well as gold in the varsity 8 and varsity pair Grand Final.
Duke will enter a combined eight boats in the V2, V4, Novice 4, V8, 2V8 and Novice 8, as well as two boats in the Varsity Quad on Sunday. Racing starts at 7 a.m. on Saturday with the V2 and runs until the final race of the day at 6:45 p.m. The Women's Varsity Quad will open competition on Sunday at 7 a.m.
Duke's qualifying boats will then advance to the finals on Sunday.
