DURHAM, N.C - The Duke rowing team will travel to San Diego, Calif., this Saturday to compete at the 39th renewal of the San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay.
The nationally acclaimed regatta will consist close to 100 races with more than 3400 athletes.
Duke will enter three boats in the classic racing in the women's collegiate varsity, women's collegiate 2V and the women's collegiate 4+. The Blue Devils will compete against five teams ranked in the top 10 and five additional teams ranked in the top 20.
"The crew classic will be an aggressive challenge for us as a team," said head coach Robyn Horner. "We're looking to continue to build our boat speed and compete in each of our events. It is a great opportunity to race with some of the best crews in the country."
