Freshman Diver Gundry to Compete at Junior Worlds

ADELAIDE, Australia - The FINA World Junior Diving Championships kicked off Monday in the city of Adelaide, Australia, with one Duke diver among those set to compete over the next six days. Jaimee Gundry, a freshman Blue Devil, will represent her native country of South Africa in the girls' platform competition.

Gundry will join over 220 divers from 34 countries at the Junior Worlds, which are being held at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre in Adelaide. She will compete in the girls' group A platform competition on Friday, Oct. 12.

Gundry comes to Duke from Lightwater, Surrey, England, where she attended The American School in England. During her prep career, she competed with the Southampton Diving Academy club team.
