Divers from the seven states in Zone B will take to the boards in the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform events with the top 10 women and top five men advancing to the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., and Austin, Texas later this month.

Senior Nick McCrory, the ACC champion in all three disciplines for the second consecutive year, will be looking to qualify for his fourth NCAA Championship meet. A three-time NCAA champion on the platform, the Chapel Hill, N.C., native won the 1-meter and platform events at last year’s Zone B meet. He enters the three-day competition in Greensboro with season-best scores of 478.43 on the 1-meter board, 531.00 at the 3-meter height and 460.30 on the platform, with the score of 531.00 on the 3-meter breaking his previous ACC and program record.

Sophomore Deon Reid and freshman Cole Plambeck will join McCrory at the Zones meet after scoring for Duke at the ACC Championship two weeks ago. Reid finished 11th on the platform, 23rd on the 1-meter and 25th on the 3-meter at the conference championship, turning in a personal-best score of 326.85 at the 10-meter height. Plambeck also notched a personal-best on the platform, earning an award of 298.50 in a 17th-place finish.

Sophomore Jaimee Gundry returns to Greensboro after reaching the championship final of the platform competition at ACCs for the second consecutive year. Gundry totaled 285.80 points in the final to take sixth, while freshman Kirby Quinn came in 19th in addition to finishing 21st in the 1-meter preliminaries. She will compete on the 1-meter and platform and Quinn will dive on all three disciplines in her first NCAA Zones appearance.
