IRVINE, Calif. – Sophomore Peter Kropp advanced to the final of the men’s 100-meter breaststroke Saturday, Aug. 9 to highlight a number of strong performances by current and former Blue Devil swimmers at the 2014 Phillips 66 National Championships.
A native of Los Angeles, Kropp earned a spot in Saturday’s 100m breaststroke C final after placing 24th in the preliminaries with a mark of 1:02.48. He dropped time later that evening, tapping the wall at 1:02.07 to finish second in the heat and 18th overall.
Kropp also took second in the same event in late July at the Speedo Junior National Championships in California.
Kropp was joined by four other members of the Duke program at the Phillips 66 National Championships, which kicked off Wednesday, Aug. 6 and concluded Sunday, Aug. 10 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Complex in Irvine. A complete list of the Blue Devils’ results can be found below.
