Senior Jessica Lyden started off the action on the 1-meter board, scoring 250.95 points for a 21st-place finish in the preliminary round. Facing a highly-competitive field, Lyden missed the cut for the event finals by less than eight points.
Two Blue Devils advanced to the finals of the men's 3-meter competition. Senior Cody Kolodziejzyk led the way with an eighth-place finish in the preliminary round, scoring 364.20 points. Fellow senior Shawn Hoffman joined Kolodziejzyk in the finals, taking 15th in the prelims with a score of 313.20. Junior Jordan Long missed a spot in the finals by just six points, coming in 22nd with a score of 300.10, while freshman Clay Pinckney earned 285.25 points to finish 30th in his first NCAA Zones appearance.
In the 3-meter finals, Kolodziejzyk placed sixth with a score of 733.55, improving four spots from a 10th-place showing at last year's NCAA Zone Championships. In addition, Kolodziejzyk was just three spots away from qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Meanwhile, Hoffman tallied an overall score of 586.80 to come in 18th, moving up an impressive 14 places from his last appearance at the Zones meet in 2009.
