  • Named to the SEC All-Freshman team after averaging 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game
  • Shot 44.3 percent (127-of-287) from the field, including 36.4 percent (47-of-129) from three-point range on the season
  • Played in 32 of 33 games with 29 starts ... missed the Alabama game on Feb. 25 with a bruised knee
  • Ranked 29th (seventh among freshmen) in the SEC in scoring (10.3 ppg.) and fifth in minutes played (32.8 mpg.)
  • Was on the court for a total of 1,050 minutes, second-most in the Mississippi State freshman record books ... 328 points ranks ninth, while his 47 three-point field goals is tied for fourth among Bulldog freshmen
  • Reached double figures in scoring 17 times with a season-high 20 points, to go along with eight rebounds and two steals, in a win over Louisiana-Monroe (11/21) ... was 9-of-13 from the field, including 2-of-4 from three-point range in the contest
  • Had eight points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in 45 minutes in an NIT opening round double-overtime loss to Massachusetts (3/13)
  • Scored 14 points and added eight rebounds, while playing 40 minutes in an overtime loss at LSU (2/14)
  • Netted 17 points and grabbed five rebounds at Arkansas (1/7)
  • Collected 16 points and six rebounds in a home win over Utah State (12/31)
  • Posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while playing all 40 minutes against Florida Atlantic (12/13)
  • Went 8-of-9 from the field and finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and a season-best four blocks against Tennessee-Martin (11/25)
  • Named SEC Rookie of the Week after averaging 9.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in wins over No. 18 Texas A&M (11/17) and No. 16 Arizona (11/18) in the 2K Sports Classic
  • Opened his career with a 12-point, nine-rebound, four-assist effort against Eastern Kentucky (11/7)

High School
  • Two-time Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year
  • Averaged 24.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 3.1 steals and 2.0 blocks in guiding Meridian to the Class 6A championship and a 29-2 record as a senior
  • In the title game against Vicksburg, Hood scored 24 points en route to the 62-47 victory
  • In the semifinals, scored 27 points as Meridian defeated Starkville, 72-43
  • Named the Clarion Ledger’s Player of the Year and was a member of the Dandy Dozen team in 2011
  • Played in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game, finishing with 18 points, three steals and six rebounds
  • Ranked No. 16 by Rivals, No. 30 in the ESPNU Top 100 list and No. 49 by Scout
  • As a junior, averaged 22.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists while leading his team to the Class 6A championship game
  • Played on the AAU circuit with Alabama Challenge and MBA Elite
