DURHAM, N.C. - With three matches left on the regular season schedule, the Duke volleyball team hits the road for two contests this week. The Blue Devils travel to Georgia Tech and Clemson, meeting the Yellow Jackets at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15 at O'Keefe Gym before a 7 p.m., matchup against the Tigers at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16 in Jervey Gym.

Duke (14-15, 5-12 ACC) faced two of the league's top teams this past weekend in then-No. 13 Florida State and Miami. The Blue Devils fell to the Seminoles Thursday but almost overcame a 2-0 deficit to topple the Hurricanes Saturday. Freshman Elizabeth Campbell had an astounding week for Duke, culminating in ACC Freshman of the Week Honors. The rookie from Parker, Colo., led the Blue Devils with a combined 36 kills, 18 digs, six blocks and four aces in the two matches.

Freshman Emily Sklar leads Duke with 281 kills this season, just three more than senior Christiana Gray's total of 278. Five Blue Devils in total have topped 200 kills for the season.

Duke also ranks second in the ACC in digs per set, averaging 16.95 per frame. Much of that success is due to the solid play of junior libero Ali McCurdy, who leads the conference with a 5.45 digs per set average. McCurdy has amassed 621 digs this year, a total which ranks 10th nationally. She is 32 digs shy of the school single season record (653) which the Tampa, Fla., native set just last season.

The top team in the ACC in aces per set, Georgia Tech (18-10, 9-8 ACC)  is led by senior Monique Mead. In addition to leading the league in aces per set (0.50), Mead also ranks second in the ACC, averaging 3.89 kills per frame.

Duke is 40-19 all-time against Georgia Tech. The Blue Devils are 8-2 against the Yellow Jackets in the two teams' past 10 meetings, including a 3-2 victory Oct. 13 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Senior Sandra Adeleye leads Clemson (18-10, 9-8 ACC) with 339 kills this season. She averages 3.46 kills per set to rank fifth in the ACC, while teammate Mo Simmons ranks seventh at 3.23 kills per set. The Tigers also average 17.24 digs per frame, the highest clip in the ACC.

Duke closes out the regular season Tuesday, Nov. 20 with a trip to Wake Forest.
