2012: Slated to start at defensive end ... missed the contact portion of spring drills while recovering from knee surgery ... has demonstrated ability to effectively rush the quarterback ... has overcome multiple significant injuries during Duke tenure ... owns good size and strength ... possesses great energy and enthusiasm ... in 28 career games (4 starts), has 37 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 quarterback sacks, three QB pressures and two caused fumbles ... has played 585 career snaps ... made switch from tight end to defensive end in the spring of 2010 ... in January, 2012, received a medical hardship waiver for the 2011 season from the ACC ... in March, 2012, granted a sixth season of eligibility by the NCAA ... in the post-spring weightlifting evaluation, posted team-bests in the bench press (465 lbs.) and 225-pound bench press repetitions (29).
