International/USA Diving: Spent the 2011-12 season training in pursuit of a berth to the 2012 Olympic Games ... captured the bronze medal with David Boudia in the men's 10-meter platform synchronized diving event in London ... the bronze medal represented just the second synchronized diving medal ever won by a team from the United States ... also competed in the men's individual 10-meter platform event at the Olympic Games, advancing to the event finals where he finished ninth overall ... secured his spot in London with a dominant qualifying performance at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Diving, finshing second in the individual platform competition and teaming with Boudia to take first in the synchronized platform event ... with Boudia, took fourth on the platform at the FINA Diving World Cup in London in February of 2012 to solidify a spot for the U.S. in the event at the 2012 Olympics ... represented the United States at the 2012 FINA Diving World Series, which made stops throughout the year in the United Arab Emirates, China, Russia and Mexico ... paired with Boudia in the synchronized platform event to earn one gold and one silver medal during four-leg tour ... best individual finish on the platform was a fourth-place showing in Beijing, China ... captured gold on the platform at the AT&T National Diving Championships during the summer of 2011 ... earlier that summer, turned in a sixth-place performance on the platform at the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China.

2010-11: Captured his second consecutive national title in the men's platform competition at the 2011 NCAA Championships, once again setting a new school record ... equally impressive, took fourth in both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions, earning All-America honors once again for all three events ... took first in both the 3-meter and platform events at the NCAA Zone qualifiers, and fifth on the 1-meter ... went unbeaten at the 2011 ACC Championships in the men's 1- and 3-meter competitions, setting a new school record (475.80) in the 3-meter ... took fourth in the platform competition after a shoulder complication barred him from competing from the 10-meter platform in lieu of a lower level ... named the ACC's Most Valuable Diver once again ...  garnered All-ACC honors in the 1- and 3-meter ... opened the season much like last, setting the pool record at UNC Wilmington in the men's 1-meter (351.07), and the pool record (433.05) on the 3-meter board the next week at home ...  named the men's ACC Diver of the Year ... over the summer, took fifth along with David Boudia of Purdue in the synchronized 10-meter at the FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China ... recorded his highest individual finish ever at a world meet with a sixth-place showing in the 10-meter at the same event ... at the U.S. Diving Nationals in August, captured gold in the 10-meter with a score of 497.35 in the finals ... named to the ACC All-Academic Team and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2009-10: Collected the Duke diving program's first national title on the platform at the 2010 finished NCAA Championships, breaking both a pool, school and championship record of 534.00 ... became the first Duke diver to win a national title, and the second freshman in school history ... runner-up in the 3-meter at the NCAA Championships with a score of 459.15 ... placed fourth overall in the 1-meter at the NCAA's with a score of 411.60 ... collected All-America honors for platform, 1-meter and 3-meter diving ... broke the school record in the 1-meter with a score of 499.95 during the 2010 ACC Championships for a first place finish, and won the ACC title on the platform ... placed second in the conference at the 3-meter height ... early in the season, broke the pool record in the 1-meter (390.75) and later broke the 3-meter pool record (454.50) in a meet against Virginia ... named men's ACC Diver of the Year ... became the first Duke diver to be named ACC Freshman of the Year ... All-ACC in platform, 1-meter and 3-meter diving ... ACC Championships Most Valuable Diver... ACC Performer of the Week both the week of Nov. 3 and Dec. 8 ...over the summer, competed in the 2010 FINA/Li-Ning Diving World Series in Veracruz, Mexico representing the United States ...earned the bronze medal in synchronized diving events at the international competition, which marked the second of three 2010 World Series stops for the USA Diving team. ...  took eighth in the men's 10-meter event in Changzhou, China in the FINA Diving World Cup ...took fourth in synchronized diving at the World Cup ... competed at the AT&T National Diving Championships in College Station, Texas, finishing first overall in the men's synchronized platform.

Prep: Three-year letterwinner at East Chapel Hill High School ... took first place in the North Carolina Central Region and the North Carolina State Championship meet on the 1-meter board for three consecutive years ... set the state record as a freshman with a mark of 601.90 and then broke his own record each subsequent year (633.70 as a sophomore and 637.30 as a junior) ... member of the Junior National Team from 2004-06 ... member of the National Team from 2007-09 ... finished in second place in Group B at the FINA Junior World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia ... finished fourth on the 10-meter platform at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials ... won the 2008 Kaiser Permanente Diving Championships with a score of 521.70 on the 10-meter platform ... finished 20th at the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome ... named to the Honor Roll in high school ... named to the All-ACC Academic squad.

Personal: Born Nicholas Montgomery McCrory on Aug. 9, 1991 in Durham, N.C. ... son of Douglas and Ana McCrory ... has one brother, Lucas ... uncle Gordon Downie competed for Great Britain in the 1976 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the 800 freestyle relay ... father Douglas McCrory graduated from Duke in '82 ... majoring in mathematics ... hobbies include reading and hanging out with friends ... favorite athlete is U.S. Olympic champion Michael Phelps.
