DURHAM, N.C.- The Duke women's lacrosse student-athletes are wrapping up their final exams begining to focus in on the NCAA tournament . Recently, GoDuke.com sat down with senior midfielder Bridget Nolan to learn more about the Summit, N.J., native.
GoDuke.com: What is your favorite movie?
Bridget Nolan: I like a lot of comedies, so I do like Forgetting Sarah Marshall ... all those movies like Old School. And embarrassing enough, my actual favorite movies are Harry Potter. I've watched them all a million times. I love all of them because I read all the books.
GoDuke.com: Do you have any superstitions or pregame rituals?
BN: Not really. I'm not really a superstitious person. I guess I always drink coffee before games, but other than that I don't think so.
GoDuke.com: What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
BN: Thanksgiving dinner, I love it. Every time I come home, my mom always makes it for me - turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes.
GoDuke.com: What's been your toughest class at Duke?
BN: I took an Econ class in summer school. Sara Godfrey and I took it during summer school.
GoDuke.com: Describe Coach Kimel in one word.
BN: Mom. She takes care of us. She loves us. She makes sure we're always safe, happy, everything. A dedicated mother is what I would say.
GoDuke.com: Can you cook?
BN: Well coming to college I could not. But living with Kat Thomas, I can now. I couldn't even cook chicken, but now I can cook basics - chicken, rice and all that stuff. Thanks to Kat I can cook now.
GoDuke.com: Who would be your dream date?
BN: Vince Vaughn because I love to laugh and he would be hilarious.
GoDuke.com: Fill in the blank - I wish I knew how to _____?
BN: Sing, but I am God awful. I am literally the worst. I really, really wish I could sing.
