Former All-America defensive tackle Vince Oghobaase joined the Blue Devil staff in July of 2011 and serves as a graduate assistant coach, working primarily with the offense. 
Oghobaase spent the 2011 season working as a staff assistant in the football relations department.
A product of Houston, Texas, Oghobaase lettered four seasons (2006-07-08-09) at Duke, seeing action in 44 career games while compiling 165 tackles, 36.5 tackles for loss and 14.0 quarterback sacks.  He finished his career ranking among Duke’s all-time leaders in both quarterback sacks and tackles for loss.
A Freshman All-America selection in 2006, Oghobaase twice garnered honorable mention All-ACC accolades (2008-09) and received third team All-America honors from Sporting News in 2009.  Prior to his senior season, Oghobaase, who served as a team captain in 2009, was named to the Watch List for the prestigious Lott Trophy, an honor presented annually to the top defensive player in the country who has the biggest IMPACT (Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community & Tenacity) on his respective team both on and off the field.
After graduating from Duke in 2010 with a degree in sociology, Oghobaase signed a free agent contract with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and later played with the Hartford Colonials in the United Football League.  He also spent time on the Washington Redskins’ practice squad in 2010.
Oghobaase is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Christian studies.
