DURHAM, N.C. - Coming off winning the ACC Championship and finishing tied for first at the Bryan National Collegiate, the Duke women’s golf team moved up to fifth in the final Golf World/NGCA Division I College Women’s Coaches’ Poll released on Wednesday.
UCLA earned the top slot, while Alabama, Auburn, Southern California, Duke, Arizona State, North Carolina, LSU, California and Colorado rounded out the top 10. Of the 21 first place votes, UCLA received 20 and Alabama had the other.
The Blue Devils have played excellent golf this spring earning two victories and one tied for first place finish out of five tournaments. Duke posted victories at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate and the ACC Championship, while tying for first at the Bryan National Collegiate before falling in a playoff.
