2015-16: Participated in six competitions during the indoor season…ran the second leg at the Armory Invitational (2/6) and claimed third in the 4x200 relay with a combined time of 1:27.43, earning the top spot in Duke history with teammates Brett Bofinger, Matt Rodio and Chaz Hawkins…placed first in the heptathlon at the ACC Indoor Championships (2/26) with 5,477 points, the third-best in Duke history…earned high honors at the ACC Indoor Championships (2/25), earning first hep. with a time of 6.96 in the 60 meters…claimed first in the long jump with a mark of 23-2.00 (7.06)…placing second hep. in both the 1,000 meters and shot put with a time of 2:43.21 and 43-4.35 (13.21) distance…did not compete during the 2016 outdoor season…named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for the third time.
2014-15: Outdoors, garnered second team All-ACC honors after placing fifth in the decathlon at the ACC Championships (5/15) with a score of 7,070…logged a point total of 6,399 at the Mt. Sac Relays (4/16) to finish 16th overall…ran the second leg of Duke’s 4x400 at the ACC Championships (5/16), taking fifth and setting the school record with a combined time of 3:09.21…anchored the 4x400 unit that clocked a 3:17.46 to take second at the VertKlasse Meeting (4/4)…did not compete during the 2015 indoor season…named to the All-ACC Academic Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Team for the second time.
2013-14: Indoors, placed fifth at the ACC Indoor Championships (3/1) in the heptathlon after amassing 5,299 points, the third-highest point total in Duke history...showcased his 60m speed by running 6.87, the fourth-fastest time in Duke history, to open the heptathlon at the ACC Championships (2/27)…member of the fifth-fastest 4x400 relay in school history, leading off at the Virginia Tech Invitational (1/18) and placing fifth in a time of 3:16.97…also acted as lead off for the fifth-place finishing 4x400 at the ACC Championship (3/1), running a converted time of 3:15.55…surpassed the six-foot mark in the high jump, posting a clearance of 6-5.00 (1.96) at the ACC Championship in the heptathlon (2/27)…set additional personal-best marks in the long jump (22-4.50 (6.82)) and the shot put (42-11.75 (13.10))…Outdoors, won the decathlon at the ACC Outdoor Championships (4/17) after accumulating 7,277 points, the third-highest point total in Duke history…member of the 11th-place finishing 4x200 that ran a school-record time of 1:25.07 at the Penn Relays (4/25)…anchored the first-place finishing 4x400 that set a school-record of 3:11.74 at the VertKlasse Meeting (4/5)…ran the third-fastest time in Duke history at 100m, clocking a time of 10.45 at the Texas Relays (3/26)…also ran personal best in the open 400, clocking a time of 48.62 at the ACC Championships…named to both the Indoor and Outdoor All-ACC Academic Team.
2012-13: Indoors, completed his first multievent competition at the ACC Indoor Championships, finishing seventh overall with 4,814 points…ranks fifth on Duke’s all-time list in the event…Duke’s top performer in the 60 meter with a time of 6.98 at the ACC Indoor Championships…also excelled in the jumps, earning his season best mark of 21-8.0 (6.60) at the Virginia Tech Challenge…Outdoors, completed his first decathlon at the ACC Outdoor Championships with an 8th place finish after scoring 4,750 points with an injury throughout the second day…earned a personal best point total of 6,839 in the event to finish fourth in the Virginia Challenge…once again excelled in the sprints, clocking a season-best 10.78 in the 100 and 48.82 in the 400 at the ACC Outdoor Championships.
Prior to Duke: Four-year letterwinner in track and field at Wilson Hall...three -time all-state selection in track and field (2010, 2011, 2012)...two-time male athlete of the year (2011 and 2012)...three-year letterwinner on the basketball team and lettered two years with the football team...earned all-state honors in basketball during the 2012 season...named 2012 basketball team MVP and the 2012 Most Valuable Defensive Back in football...member of the National Honor Society.
