DURHAM, N.C. -- Please be advised that Duke Women’s Basketball will host North Carolina on Monday, February 10 at 7 p.m. Due to the magnitude of the game and anticipated sellout crowd, traffic flow and parking in and around Duke’s West Campus will be impacted from approximately 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Please plan extra time in your travels and abide by the direction of parking and traffic staff set-up on and around campus. Staff will be posted to aid with your ingress and egress from parking areas and campus roadways.
Women’s Basketball Fans: Iron Duke Women’s Basketball parking operations will operate normally for fans with a Women’s Basketball Iron Duke parking pass. The Iron Duke parking lots will open on campus at 4:00 p.m. All Women’s Basketball Iron Duke parking pass holders are asked to have their passes visible and clearly displayed as they approach campus.
General Public attending the women’s basketball game without a Women’s Basketball Iron Duke parking pass will need to park in the Women’s Basketball General Public Parking Lots (Blue Zone, Chemistry Lot, and Circuit Drive Lots). The Blue Zone will open at 4:00 p.m. The Chemistry and Circuit Drive lots will open at 5:00 p.m. Parking Garage 4 will also be available for game day parking at a cost of $5.
Bus parking for the women’s basketball game is located in the Grounds Lot and can be accessed off of Frank Bassett Drive. Bus parking is free of charge and opens at 4:00 p.m.
Parking for Persons with Disabilities for Women’s Basketball is available in the Science Drive Visitor’s Lot. To access the Science Drive Visitor’s Lot, access Science Drive from NC 751 (Cameron Blvd) or use the alternate route via Towerview Drive and then turn right on Science Drive. The Science Drive Visitor’s Lot will open at 5:00 p.m. and there is no charge to park. Shuttles for Persons with Mobility Impairments and an ADA Lift equipped van will begin operation at 5:00 p.m. from the Science Drive Visitor’s Lot to the front of Cameron Indoor Stadium. The shuttles and van will run until 10:00 p.m.
Due to the heavy traffic expected, traffic control staffing will set-up checkpoints around campus at the locations listed below. Access to the roadways and parking lots inside these checkpoints will be limited to Women’s Basketball Iron Duke parking pass holders only. All Women’s Basketball Iron Duke parking pass holders should have their parking passes visible and hanging from their rearview mirrors as they approach the checkpoints to expedite access. General Public traffic will be directed to the nearest general parking lot from the checkpoint.
Towerview Drive Circle Checkpoint • Any general public traffic that reaches this checkpoint will be directed to the Blue Zone off of Duke University Road.
NC 751/Cameron Blvd and Science Drive Checkpoint • Northbound general public traffic should approach this checkpoint in the left lane. General public traffic should turn right on Erwin Road to access the Chemistry and Circuit Drive General Public Parking Lots off of Towerview Drive. • Southbound general public traffic should approach this checkpoint in the right lane. General public traffic will be directed to the Blue Zone off of Duke University Road. • General public traffic for parking for persons with disabilities should approach this checkpoint in the left lane. For access, guests should tell the traffic staffing that they require parking for persons with disabilities for access.
Circuit Drive and Towerview Drive • Any general public traffic that reaches this checkpoint will be directed to the Chemistry and Circuit Drive General Public Parking Lots. • General public traffic for parking for persons with disabilities should tell the traffic staffing that they require parking for persons with disabilities for access.
