Alcohol


It is strictly prohibited to bring alcohol into Wallace Wade Stadium. Individuals violating this policy are subject to ejection from the stadium.

ATM Machines

There is a BB&T ATM machine located at the south entrance of Cameron Indoor Stadium (Wallace Wade Stadium Side).  In addition, all concession stands and merchandising areas do accept credit/debit cards.

Banner/Signage Policy

Banners and Signs are permitted inside Wallace Wade Stadium, however Duke reserves the right to prohibit or require the cessation of any display of a banner or sign that obstructs the view of other fans, obscures stadium signage, can be considered an advertisement, or is determined to be obscene, vulgar, indecent, inappropriate, or derogatory.

Basketball Museum and Sports Hall of Fame

The Duke Basketball Museum and Athletics Hall of Fame was renovated and opened in the Fall of 2010 and is open to the general public from Monday through Friday - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  The Duke Basketball Museum and Athletics Hall of Fame is located on the 2nd floor of Schwartz-Butters Athletic Building.  Guests wishing to visit the Museum should enter the Schwartz-Butters Athletic Building from the North side of Cameron Indoor Stadium (K-Ville side) via the stairwell or from the breezeway on the west side of Cameron Indoor Stadium between Cameron and the Krzyzewski Center.

Camera Policy

Hand-held still cameras are permitted for personal use only. No cameras are permitted into the stadium with a lens longer than four (4) inches.  FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT PERMITTED AT ANYTIME INSIDE WALLACE WADE STADIUM.  Video cameras are permitted in Wallace Wade Stadium for track and field competitions.

Cellular Phones

The use of cellular phones is permitted inside of Wallace Wade Stadium, provided that their use does not interfere with other guests’ ability to enjoy the meet experience.

Compliments, Complaints, & Comments

If you have compliments, complaints, or comments regarding Duke Track and Field home meets, please call game day operations at (919) 684-1785 or email us at gamedayops@duaa.duke.edu.  

Conduct 

Duke Athletics expects all guests to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during and after the competition. We expect all guests to treat other guests, student-athletes, coaches and officials with courtesy. Please join us in creating a fun, safe, family atmosphere at Wallace Wade Stadium by not:

  • Interfering with other guests’ ability to enjoy the game;
  • Using/displaying foul or abusive language or gestures;
  • Appearing to be intoxicated or in a diminished capacity;
  • Failing to produce a ticket upon request or sitting in a seat that does not match your ticket;
  • Entering the playing area or restricted access areas;
  • Smoking except in designated areas;
  • Throwing objects onto the track or within the stadium; or
  • Otherwise being disorderly.
Guests should contact a stadium staff member if they feel someone is not acting appropriately. Violators are subject to ejection and possible arrest. Repeated offenses will result in the loss of season or student ticket privileges.

Concessions

A great variety of food items and Coca-Cola products are available from the concession stands located on the North and East sides of Wallace Wade Stadium.  Blue Devil Concessions operates the concession stands in Wallace Wade Stadium. All concession stands accept debit/credit cards.  NO CONCESSIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE DUKE TWILIGHT MEET ON MAY 5, 2013.

Disability Information

General Public Parking for Persons with Disabilities - is available in the Blue Zone lots off of Wannamaker Drive in lots B-1 and B-3.  Wannamaker Drive can be accessed via the Blue Zone Iron Gate on Duke University Road.  An accessible drop-off and pick-up point for persons with disabilities is available in the Blue Zone just outside the East Gate of Wallace Wade Stadium. 

Seating for Persons with Disabilities -
is available around the stadium at the top of the seating bowl behind the following sections: 1, 2, 3, 4, 20, 21, 22, 29, and 30.

Accessible Restrooms for Persons with Disabilities –
Accessible Men’s Restrooms are located on the concourse behind sections 1, 22, and 32.  Accessible Women’s Restrooms are located on the concourse behind sections 2, 21, and 31.

First Aid/Emergency Medical Assistance

For first aid and emergency medical assistance, please visit the designated areas located in the southwest corner of the track. In case of emergency, please contact the nearest staff member for assistance or call Duke Police at (919) 684-2444 or 911.

Food and Beverage

Outside food and beverage are permitted in Wallace Wade Stadium for Duke Track and Field Meets.

Gates (Entrance into stadium)

All gates to Wallace Wade Stadium will open 60 minutes prior to the start of competition each day.  All guests and items being brought into the stadium are subject to search prior to and while in the stadium.  There are gates located at the North, East and West sides of the stadium.  All gates to Wallace Wade Stadium are accessible for persons with disabilities.

Lost and Found

All Lost and Found items will be turned into Duke Game Operations.  Items turned in will be kept in the Game Operations office.  Guests trying to locate items on the day of competition should ask staff to speak to Game Operations staff member on-site.  Items that are not picked up on game day can be picked up on the next business day following the game by calling the Game Operations Office at 919-684-1785.

Media Information

To obtain a photographer or media credentials please contact the Duke Sports Information Office at 919.668.5739 at least two (2) days prior to the meet start date.  No access will be permitted to the press areas, track, or throwing areas without proper photo or media credentials.

Merchandise

Be sure to show your Duke Pride by purchasing officially-licensed Duke Merchandise at the Duke Team Store located in Card Gym, adjacent to Cameron Indoor Stadium.  The Team Store will be open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekdays, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sundays.

Parking Information

Parking Pricing - There is no charge to park for Duke Track and Field meets.

General Public Drop-off and Pick-Up Point - General Public wishing to drop-off guests in close proximity to Wallace Wade Stadium may do so on just outside the East Gate of Wallace Wade Stadium.  After dropping off their guest they must find a legal parking space within the surrounding lots. 

Bull City Connector - The Bull City Connector is a fare-free, hybrid-electric bus service that connects downtown Durham with the Duke University campus. The route provides direct access to Duke and includes stops along Main Street and Erwin Road. The service also includes a stop at Durham Station, the city's transportation hub with public bus service and within walking distance of the American Tobacco Campus and the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Bull City Connector is also ideal for bicyclists, who can ride to a Connector stop and take their bike to campus by using a bike rack on the front of the bus.  The easiest way to get to games using the Bull City Connector is to get off at Duke Hospital South on Trent Road. Once you get off at Duke Hospital South, walk on the sidewalk down Flowers Drive. Cut up to the West Campus Quad. Walk all the way down the Quad until you reach Towerview Drive. Cross Towerview Drive and follow the sidewalk to Wallace Wade Stadium. Click here for a map to show you where to go.

Tailgating - Tailgating is permitted. Tents, tables, tarps or canopies ARE NOT permitted if they impede foot or vehicular traffic or if they extend into additional parking space.   All federal, state and local laws, statutes, and ordinances apply, including those regarding the possession, dispensing, and use of alcoholic beverages.  Please bag and place all trash and recycling in the appropriate receptacle prior to departure from the parking area.  Please properly extinguish and dispose of charcoal and other flammables.  DO NOT THROW AWAY in parking lot trash cans or in parking lots.

Parking Emergency Information - In case of emergency please dial 9-1-1 for Durham County or 919-684-2444 for Duke Police Emergency Dispatch.  Duke Police will be the primary responder on-campus for emergency calls.  Durham Police will be the primary responder off-campus for emergency calls.  If an emergency occurs and authorities are contacted, please designate someone in your party to help direct emergency personnel to the emergency location.

Pets

All pets (including dogs) are prohibited inside Wallace Wade Stadium. (Exception: Service animals are allowed to assist those with disabilities).

Prohibited Items

For the safety and game day experience of all guests, the following items are prohibited from entering the stadium:

  • Balls and Frisbees
  • Items obstructing sightlines of other guests (umbrellas may not be raised in the seating bowl)
  • Pets (except service animals)
  • Shoes with wheels (wheelies)

  • Video Cameras
  • Cameras w/lens over 4 inches
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Weapons

Duke University reserves the right to deny anyone or anything from entering the stadium. Any such items should be returned to your vehicle and/or discarded. All guests and items being brought into the stadium are subject to search before entering the stadium.  

Restrooms

Restrooms inside Wallace Wade Stadium will open one (1) hour prior to the start of competition each day.  Men’s Restrooms are located on the concourse behind sections 1, 22, and 32.  Women’s Restrooms are located behind sections 2, 9, 21, and 31.  Accessible Men’s Restrooms are located on the concourse behind sections 1, 22, and 32.  Accessible Women’s Restrooms are located on the concourse behind sections 2, 21, and 31.

Re-Entry into Stadium

Re-entry is permitted in Wallace Wade Stadium.

Umbrellas


Umbrellas are permitted inside Wallace Wade Stadium and may be raised inside the seating bowl as long as the umbrella does not obstruct or interfere with another guest’s enjoyment of the meet.
