DURHAM -- As a way to celebrate our senior student athletes we partnered with Bull City Craft to have a ‘dine and design’ event. It was a way for our seniors to be creative and have a memento of their time at Duke.
Students had their choice of painting a Blue Devil or a Blue Devil with the Duke "D." The instructor showed the seniors the process of creating their pieces through a step by step instruction. The students had their choice of various colors and ideas. Every student was focused and dedicated on their painting and made sure there were no mistakes.
Created by husband and wife team Franklin Santana and Jessica Greene, Bull City craft was opened in 2011 as a way to express creativity and individuality. They combined their talents to create a store that is full of classes, art supplies, and endless inspiration.
Avery Rape was among the seniors to attend. “This was a unique opportunity that provided the athletes a casual and fun environment. We were able to bond through art and show our creative side. It was a nice change of pace from our daily routine.”
