DURHAM, N.C. - The WNBA season is underway and in full swing as seven former Blue Devils are under the spotlight with four different professional teams. Keep up to date on the notebook for updates on Duke in the WNBA.

Beard Throws Out First Pitch at Dodgers Game

The Los Angeles Sparks signed autographs at the Dodgers game last week and the reigning two-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year, Alana Beard, had the privilege of throwing out the first pitch.  We would call that a strike as well! 



Greenwell Pays It Forward

Despite rehabbing from a knee injury, former Splash Sister and WNBA draftee Rebecca Greenwell is spending her recovery hosting clinics to teach the game to the youth. With a teacher like that, we see a whole bunch of future sharpshooters in these pictures!



Chelsea Gray's Game Is "Different"

Entering her fourth year as a L.A. Spark, Gray has been receiving plaudits from around the league for her ability to take over. The two-time WNBA All-Star talks about her path to becoming one of the most "underrated players in the league."




Brown's Got Range

Lexie Brown shows off her skills against the defending WNBA Champions. Brown finished with 10 points and four assists and helped the Lynx improve to 2-0.

Erin Mathias Finds Home In Italy

For the second straight season, Mathias will be donning the red and white colors of USE Scotti Empoli. The Italian club spent the season towards the bottom of the standings. With the help of the Duke alumna, Empoli remain in the Serie A1 league next season. The club's statement can be found here.
