DURHAM, N.C. – Four members of the Duke cross country team, including three from the women’s squad and one from the men’s team, received All-ACC Academic honors, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Duke was represented by sophomore Sophia Parvizi-Wayne and freshmen Amanda Beach and Michaela Reinhart. Parvizi-Wayne appears on the All-Academic list for the second time in her career after garnering All-Academic and ACC Academic Roll in her freshmen season. Beach and Reinhart added to their laurels as both earned All-ACC honors at the ACC Championships and Reinhart was the ACC Freshman of the Year.

On the men’s side, junior Nikhil Pulimood was placed on the All-Academic team for the second consecutive year. He has twice previously served as an ACC Honor Roll recipient. On the course, he earned the first victory of his collegiate career at the Winthrop Invitational.

For a student-athlete to be eligible for All-ACC academic honors, the individual must earn at least a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintain a 3.00 cumulative grade point average during the individual’s academic career.
