Beach and Reinhart to Compete at USATF Championships

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke cross country freshmen Amanda Beach and Michaela Reinhart will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., for the USATF Cross Country Championships this Saturday.

Beach and Reinhart will both be competing in the Junior Women’s race. The top six competitors will earn a spot on the USATF national team that will travel to San Salvador, El Salvador for the 2018 NACAC Cross Country Championships on Feb. 17.

Reinhart and Beach will be looking to add more honors to their ledger after both completed strong freshmen seasons for the Blue Devils. The pair finished as the top-two Duke runners in every race they competed in this season, including top-20 overall finishes at the ACC Cross Country Championships. Beach and Reinhart were both named All-ACC for their performances and Reinhart also took home the ACC Freshman of the Year award. This week, both were also named to the All-ACC Academic team.

The Junior Women’s division will consist of a 6K race on Apalachee Regional Park. The race will get underway at 10:45 a.m. Live streaming can be found at USATF.tv.
