Duke B Squads Sweep Pack Invitational

CARY, N.C. - The Duke men's and women's second teams both swept their opponents in the Pack Invitational held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. on Sunday, Nov. 1.
The men battled driving rain and muddy conditions to defeat Elon, 15-50. Duke took all five top spots in the 5K race, led by senior Ken Sullivan in 15:25. Junior Ryan McDermott (2nd, 15:27), senior Will Smith (3rd, 15:35), sophomore Guillermo Echarte (4th, 15:43) and freshman Jonathan Sanchez (15:46) rounded out the Blue Devils' top five.
The women's team also swept the top five spots in their 5K race. Junior Kristina Krasich took first place in 17:55, followed by senior Anna Farias-Eisner (18:05) in second and sophomore Amanda Truelove (18:12) in third. Shelley Forbes (4th, 18:31) and Leslie Morrison (5th, 18:50) completed Duke's top five.
Duke returns to action in two weeks, traveling to Louisville, Ky., for the Southeast Regionals on Nov. 14.
